Chopper-Stabilized
Latch targets automotive applications |
Suited
for motor-speed and direction-sensing applications, current-output,
Hall-effect Model A1242 features 2-wire design that provides inherent
short/open detection. Unit employs high-frequency chopper-stabilization
technique on digital analog BiCMOS process to achieve magnetic stability
over temperature. It provides on-chip transient protection, while
zener clamp on power supply protects against over-voltage conditions
on supply line.
A1242 ideal for motor-speed and direction-sensing
applications
Worcester,
MA, Sept. 15, 2005 - Allegro MicroSystems, Inc. announces the A1242,
a new chopper-stabilized latch ideally suited for use in motor-speed
and direction-sensing applications, as well as in other applications
where the sensor is located far from the ECU. This sensor requires
one less wire in the wiring harness than the comparable three-wire
Hall-effect latch. Additionally, the two-wire feature of this sensor
provides inherent short/open detection.
